Four Antique Books on Violin Making with Related Manuscript Material [Stradivari]

Three books centered on violin making, belonging to Arthur T. Brice, an amateur violin-maker active in the 1920s and 1930s. Together with correspondence, sketches, and notes related to Brice's interest in violins and locating an original Stradivari. Including a letter from The Strand Magazine providing Heron-Allen's address; hand-drawn sketches of a Stradivarius bow with precise measurements; and a letter from Brice to the son of the Rev. H. R. Haweis, noted writer on Stradivari, reflecting Brice's efforts to trace an original instrument. Books include:
