Group of Early Government, Military, and Census Publications

Group of early American governmental, military, and statistical publications, early to mid-19th century, including New England imprints, federal reports, and legislative records. Comprising the following:

1. Rules and Regulations for the Field Exercise and Maneuvers of Infantry, a resolve of Congress, December 1814 (Concord, NH: Isaac Hill, 1817). Leather-bound, covers separated from spine.

2. Acts and Laws Passed by the General Court of Massachusetts (1803). Original wraps partially detached with losses; title page with loss to lower right corner, otherwise interior clean and intact.

3. Compendium of the Enumeration of the Inhabitants and Statistics of the United States, prepared at the Department of State (Washington, DC: Blair and Rives, 1841). Lacking covers, loose stitching.

4. Reports of Explorations and Surveys… Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean, 1853–54, House of Representatives, Vol. II (Washington, DC: A. O. P. Nicholson, 1855). Hardcover.

5. The General Laws of Massachusetts, from June 1822 to June 1827, edited by Theron Metcalf, Vol. III (Boston: Wells and Lilly, 1827). Hardcover.

6. Journal of the Honorable Senate of the State of New Hampshire, June 2, 1830 (Concord: N. Howland, 1830). Hardcover.

7. Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies, Part XXVII (Washington, DC: Government Printing Office, 1894). Paper wraps with significant edge wear; interior clean and intact.
