Traditional American Tattoo Designs by Bill Dailey

Hand-painted tattoo flash attributed to Bill Dailey, Los Angeles, California, ca. 1935. Ink and watercolor on paper. This sheet is similar in style and color palette to several examples in a private collection, one of which is signed and dated by Dailey. From 1937 to 1939, he tattooed at 412 South Main Street, the former shop of Ben Corday, who likely had a significant influence on Dailey's career.

  • Condition: Very good condition. Surface wear, including small stains, consistent with age and use. Old, dried double-sided tape on reverse.
